Senior BDM for Innovative Technology celebrates quarter century milestone

Thorsten Labusch, based at ITL’s German office in Pinneberg, is celebrating a quarter century with the cash handling and age assurance technology company this month. Thorsten has had several promotions as Innovative Technology (ITL) expanded worldwide, and now specialises in the retail market, driving sales and business development.

Thorsten 25 years

Commenting on his long-standing achievement, Thorsten said, “I joined Innovative Technology’s German branch, formerly Automated Transaction GmbH, back in 2001, setting up a Technical Support and Repairs Department in the Pinneberg office, just outside Hamburg. As ITL grew significantly over the years, I moved into a sales role covering our gaming, amusement and vending customers, before eventually taking on responsibility for the retail and kiosk business once that new market opened up.”

“The retail sector is such a vibrant, technology-driven market, and I enjoy advising about deploying the latest cash handling technology to help retailers run their operations and machines more efficiently.  Over the past few years I have also introduced our biometric technology to assist retailers with automated age assurance at the point of sale. This new technology is really taking off in the German market and it’s very rewarding being a part of this success.”

Marcus Tiedt, Sales & Marketing Director, also based at ITL’s Germany office commented, “Thorsten and I have worked together for the past 25 years, and it has been a privilege to see the business grow into a successful enterprise alongside him.  Thorsten is a vital part of our sales team, not only here in Germany but globally, and he plays a key role in shaping ITL’s overall retail business development strategy. He is very well respected and trusted in the market and has developed some great relationships with major retailers managing many successful projects over the years. I would like to express my gratitude for his commitment and drive and congratulate Thorsten on this significant milestone.”

Concluding, Thorsten said, “The retail sector remains a crucial growth area for the company, and we have some exciting cash validation equipment solutions in the pipeline. We are also continually developing and expanding our biometrics suite of solutions for age assurance and access control.  The team will be showcasing all our latest offering at two key events in the new year – NRF in New York and EuroCIS in Düsseldorf – and I look forward to catching up with customers at both shows.”
