Our Opportunity

This exciting new opportunity is for a proven or aspiring Customer Support Engineer, where from our Pewaukee base you’ll play a pivotal role in the growth and development of our ambitious expansion plans. You’ll offer remote and field-based technical support and repairs to our expanding base of US retail, vending, gaming and amusement customers.

As Customer Support Engineer you’ll also be involved with a wide range of other activities to develop our business further, including customer service, sales and logistics, ensuring the role remains exciting and varied and where two days are never the same.

The ideal person for this role would be a committed and flexible individual, with hands-on experience of software integration, troubleshooting and repairing electrical devices. We’re looking for a natural problem solver and someone with the proven ability to think on their feet in the office and out in the field, while representing our admired brand with pride.

 

Your role

  • You’ll provide excellent customer service and technical support to new and existing customers, with in-depth technical expertise relating to our cash validation and print products and services
  • You’ll visit customers on their premises to investigate problems, bug fix, rectify issues, repair our software and devices, whilst providing product training, where necessary
  • You’ll support the Sales Team in the early stages of new customer relationships, with technical advice, solutions, training and recommendations
  • You’ll utilize conventional test equipment and IT diagnostic software tools to investigate faults, bugs and other issues.
  • You’ll gain then impart an in-depth knowledge of the entire mechanical, electronic and software product range
  • You’ll liaise with the UK based Development Team on recurring issues and product fault trends
  • You’ll contribute to developing technical manuals and online support tools
  • You’ll support the wider business, while based on the office with shipping, receiving, warehouse management and other ad-hoc requirements of a small but growing operation.
  • You’ll travel extensively across the US, with regular overnight stays

 

Your Qualifications

  • Electronics, Software or Mechanical or related engineering degree is preferred
  • Associate degree or extensive hands-on commercial experience, as an alternative
  • Must be comfortable with and willing to travel as required

 

Your Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a technical support role, ideally customer-facing
  • Experience interfacing peripherals to computer hardware
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Proven ability to learn about new and complex products and services quickly
  • Able to demonstrate analytical and creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, technical reports
  • Deliver training to individuals with varying levels of expertise
  • Proven team player, with a flexible and supportive approach
  • Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
