ITL’s revolutionary retail offerings successfully previewed at EuroCIS

ITL’s presence at EuroCIS – the Leading Trade Fair for Retail Technology - was deemed one of their busiest shows to date with many visitors wanting to demo the company’s new cash handling products, ideal for retail and self-serve applications.

Thorsten Labusch, VP of Sales & Business Development (RKB) for ITL commented, “Our Spectral product family attracted most attention with note validators, recyclers and now a new bunch note feeder module. The new Spectral Payout was one of the star products in Düsseldorf this year.  This 80 note mixed denomination recycler for high volume retail applications can store all denominations from a given currency managing coin float levels in self-checkouts more efficiently, eliminating coin starvation. This latest addition to the Spectral family uses our established NV200 Spectral banknote validator – which was popular at EuroCIS, both as a standalone product and as part of the Spectral Payout.”

Thorsten continued, “Another Spectral product perfect for retailers that can be mounted to the ECB approved NV200 Spectral via a universal interface plate is the Spectral Bunch Note Feeder (BNF).  This was its first showing to the European industry and visitors were impressed with its large deposit capacity of 100+ notes, accompanied by a 2200 cashbox.  It has fast acceptance speeds of less than 2 seconds across multiple currencies, make it particularly attractive for retailers wanting to lower their operational costs.  With the NV200 Spectral’s full imaging sensors, the unit validates the authenticity of notes offering exceptional protection against fraudulent and stained notes.”

“Smart Safe customers at the show were also impressed with the Safe Interface add-on option which allows notes to be transported to the cash box via the Safe Interface. When combined with the Spectral BNF it gives customers the ability to gain access to the validator head (and BNF) while the cash is securely stored inside the smart safe. This can significantly improve back office operations and give retailers an enhanced level of security.”

ITL’s new age verification device was also a highlight on their stand with visitors wanting to test out if the device could accurately estimate their age.  ICU can be used to control access to age restricted purchases using intelligent biometric algorithmsmaking it ideal in a retail setting.  Automation is key; ICU can help speed up the purchase process benefiting both retailers and consumers alike. Innovative also demoed Safe Cash Collect, their automated cash deposit system which combines a secure tamper evident cash bag system with live data and reporting software.

Concluding Thorsten said, “Overall EuroCIS this year was a great success for us, and we had some very positive meetings with customers. It was a good opportunity to showcase our new products to the industry and obtain important customer feedback to input back into product development and field trials. Remember to keep an eye on our website for more updates regarding our new retail and self-serve products when they become available to the wider market.”
