Firmware Changes
BV30 firmware version 4.08 released
A new version of BV30 firmware has now been released, 4.08. Firmware is contained within the currency dataset files and will be used on new sales orders.
Feature Highlights:
• Interface starts before dataset checksum, unit will now reply to commands around 1s quicker at start up
• Latest security improvements
• Improved Poll with Ack support
SCS firmware version 1.38 released
A new version of SCS firmware has now been released, 1.38. Firmware is contained within the currency dataset files and will be used on new sales orders.
Feature Highlights:
• Poll timeout is disabled while in escrow mode
• If options “Empty to payout” and “unknown coins to payout” are both set, unit will send unknown coins to cashbox instead to prevent conflict
• Extended pay in logging via SD card
• Extended payout logging via SD card

SMART Payout Module Obsolescence
The SMART Payout module is being made obsolete as of June 2024. Customers now have the opportunity for a last time buy, while stocks last.
What is being made end-of-life? • The SMART Payout module for the NV200ST product, the ‘SMART Payout’. • The NV200ST Validator is NOT being declared end of life, and support/supply will continue for the validator as such.
What does the end-of-life process entail? • Support for the SMART Payout device will continue for 5 years until June 2029. This includes datasets and firmware fixes. • Repairs at ITL and authorised repair centres will be available for 5 years until June 2029. Spectral Payout replacement for the SMART Payout • The Spectral Payout is a more robust, and higher performing device than the SMART payout, and we suggest customers looking to migrate, upgrade to this new flagship product. • Please bear in mind the Spectral Payout module is not compatible with the NV200ST only the NV200 Spectral. |
Dataset Updates - King Charles Banknotes 5th June 2024
With the imminent arrival of the new King Charles Note, a reminder to customers which legacy validators will support this currency, and which units are obsolete and thus, will not be upgradeable.
NV9USB+
• Any BLUE or GREEN label NV9USB+ device (pre 2016) will not support the new King Charles Currency.
• Any NV9USB+ with Dataset code GBP**E and GBP**B will not support the new King Charles Currency.
NV200 Asic
• Any NV200 note validator head build revision 29 & below (pre 2017) will not support the new King Charles Currency.
• Any NV200 note validator head with dataset code GBP**6 will not support the new King Charles Currency.
NV10USB
• Any RED label NV10USB (pre 2016) will not support the new King Charles Currency.
• Any NV10USB with Dataset code GBP**1 will not support the new King Charles Currency.

The coin elevator is an add-on module for the SMART Coin System that dramatically reduces the distance between coin entry and exit points to improve customer experience.
Combining the SMART Coin System with the Coin Elevator provides convenient customer payments, optimising coin pay in and out.
