SMART Hopper firmware 6.20 released
A new version of SMART Hopper firmware has now been released 6.20. Firmware is contained within the currency dataset files and is available to download from our website within Technical Support / Currency Download.
New Functionality:
- added option for unknown coins to be paid out instead of sent to cashbox at the end of Smart
- CC2 serial number now uses 3 LSB bytes of SSP serial number instead of 3 MSB bytes
- CC2 Poll timeout extended from 2 to 5 seconds
- prevention to stop type A hoppers updating with type B datasets and vice versa
Improvements / Fixes:
- Improved emptying of last/large coins
- Improvements to anti jam routines.

Product Change Notification - BV100 & BV50
As part of our continuous quality improvements, with immediate effect, the existing cashbox flap (PM00846) has been replaced by Security Teeth (MC02004) for improved security.
This change will have no anticipated impact to function, compatibility or reliability. During the removal of the cashbox caution should be taken and during the bill removal process please ensure fingers are kept away from the teeth. Products with the new metal security teeth have been fitted with caution stickers on both the bottom of the cashbox and under the cashbox lid.
Product Change Notification - SMART Hopper
As part of our continuous quality improvements, with immediate effect, the retaining screw in the left side panel of the SMART Hopper (PM00430 see below) has been removed and replaced by an internal retaining clip. This change will have no anticipated impact to function, compatibility or reliability.

THE LATEST NEWS
Original NV9 / NV10 units (built between June 2005 and December 2009)
Last month we announced that the original NV9 and NV10 units will be made obsolete on the 31st December 2014 meaning we will no longer be able to repair or supply parts for these units from the end of the year.
We would like to reassure customers that we will continue to provide datasets and firmware until the end of the following year 31st December 2015. The new €10 note will be incorporated into all original NV9 / NV10 dataset during the Summer of 2014 and furthermore we envisage the new polymer £5 note to be incorporated during the Summer of 2015. More information will follow in future Technical Bulletins.
If you still use the original NV9 and NV10 we recommend that you upgrade your units to the latest USB versions for increased levels of security and advanced technology. More information is available on our website within Products.

Parts are categorised under Support Tools / Accessories, Bezels / Cashboxes and Individual Products. The webshop is a complete catalogue of all available spare parts.
The webshop can be used to buy directly on-line or as a catalogue (when buying through a local office) and is easily searchable using the search box in the top right hand corner of the website. E.g.To search for the NV10 USB Standard Bezel PA00231 simply type 231.
NB: Some parts require calibration following replacement and others should only be replaced by trained personnel as indicated (in product details).
