Innovative Technology are celebrating after being named winners of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise the UK’s highest accolade for business success.
Innovative Technology join an elite group of companies, recognised this year as deserving winners of a Queen’s Award, celebrating excellence in UK Business. By receiving the International Trade award Innovative Technology have demonstrated outstanding achievement and substantial growth in overseas earnings and commercial success.
Managing Director, Aidan Towey commented, “The Queen’s Awards are one of the most prestigious business accolades in the UK and are only awarded to companies demonstrating the highest level of excellence. We are honoured to receive the award for International Trade. This is actually the 3rd Queens Award in the Company’s history having previously won in 1997 and 1999. The award this year is extra special after having been named last week as the 13th fastest growing company in Britain in the Sunday Times Profit Track 100.”
Approximately 160 Queen’s Awards have been announced this year for outstanding business achievement in the fields of International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development. As a Queen’s Award winner Innovative Technology can expect an invitation to attend a special reception at Buckingham Palace with HM The Queen later this year.
Aidan went on to say, “This is a very exciting time for Innovative Technology. As a company we are going from strength to strength. After a year of unparalleled success, for every aspect of the businessin 2013, we are currently in the process of building a new ‘state of the art’ office facility at our UK Head Office and will create up to 30 new positions this year. Over the summer we will celebrate the Queens Award in style with a party for all of our European staff and special guest the Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester.”
About the Queen’s Awards
The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious accolades for businesses and individuals in the United Kingdom. The winners are announced each year on 21st April, Her Majesty The Queen’s birthday. The corporate awards recognise outstanding achievements by UK companies in three categories: International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development. Each Award is valid for five years and winners are invited to a reception with HM The Queen at Buckingham Palace.
